Usc Military Tuition - It was just six years ago that our office sought to make a difference for the sons and daughters of service men and women by creating USC's Pre-College Scholarships for Military Families. Today I can proudly say that we are making a difference in preparing students for higher education. Including the most recent group, the program supported 146 students.

Audrey Daly applied for the program when she was living in Germany, where her father was serving as a lieutenant in the Navy.

Our goal here at USC is to create a positive experience that encourages children of military families to consider applying to higher education institutions that might otherwise be considered out of reach.

Johnny Howard IV, vice president of the Student Veterans Association, visited Washington a few weeks ago to speak with students from other universities. they traveled to see how their military departments functioned.
"I quickly realized that some of the processes are not as quick and fast as we have them. I can call within the department ... and have my questions answered in a timely manner," Howard said.

Howard wasn't surprised that USC was ranked so highly, because he felt he always had more support at Columbia than anywhere else. After looking at various colleges in the state of Florida, USC's Center for Military Excellence seemed the most supportive. During his visit to USC, Howard IV appreciated the community aspect and the large military presence.
"I was really sold when I came in here and talked to people and heard their experiences about how things were going," Howard said.
